Building the kitchen...

Köket börjar så sakteliga ta form. Det är tvättat, spacklat och klart för att målas vitt. Skåpen håller på att byggas och vi har hittat en ugn (med utdragbar lucka precis som jag vill ha det!) från Bosch som vi tycker om samt en induktionshäll och en kyl/frys som jag tror blir bra. Här ser ni två bilder från köket och skåpen. Golvet kommer vara vitt och nytt fönster ska installeras också.

The kitchen is slowly starting to form and it has been washed, plastered and is now ready to be painted white. Cupboards are being built and we have found an oven from Bosch that we like and also an inductionstove and fridge/freezer. Here are two pictures of the kitchen and the cupboards being built. The floor will be white and a new window is going to be installed too.

Double, double toil and trouble...

Igår var det en kille som skulle fixa väggarna i köket i lägenheten men han kunde inte få upp spacklet för att senare kunna måla. Idag kom det dit en annan som tydligen också misslyckades?! Nog måste killar som spacklar veta hur man spacklar?! Nu till något roligare. Jag såg ett bord i en tidning från ILVA men jag hittar det inte på deras hemsida nu men jag såg det här som liknade det på IKEA när vi var där sist. Jättefint! När vi flyttade ner hit så köpte vi två uppsättningar påslakan och örngott från IKEA också. Deras Alvine Medaljong. Tyvärr ser man inte riktigt hur det ser ut på bild men ni får väl kika när ni åker dit någongång. Jag är imponerad över hur bra kvalitén faktiskt är. Vita med vita medaljonger på. Mjuka och sköna!

Yesterday we had a guy in the apartment who was going to plaster the walls so that they could then be painted. However, he couln't get the plaster to stick. And so, today they brought another guy over and he couldn't get the plaster to stick either?! Surely these guys who work with this all the time should know how this works?! Anyway... on a happier note. I saw this really nice table at ILVA in a magazine but I can't find it online. It looks a bit like this one from IKEA called Liatorp. I really like it! When we moved down here I bought two sets of duvet covers at IKEA called Alvine Medaljong. You can't really see what they look like online but if you go to IKEA go check it out. They are white with white medaillons. I am impressed at the quality actually. Soft and comfy!

Update!

Helt plötsligt så ploppar alla möjliga saker upp överallt likt svampar. Det ena eller det andra behöver fixas och det tredje behöver göras om, sans cesse. Vi har bestämt oss för att helt göra om köket och det ena badrummet för att få plats med tvättmaskinen/torktumlaren där inne och en dusch. Vi planerar också att ha trä uppe på takterassen (förut tänkte vi ha terracottaplattor). Vi ska fortfarnade byta till elektricitet och sätta upp solpaneler för att kunna nyttja solen. Vi har tittat på diverse alternativ när det gäller köksbänk och även funderat över att lägga trägolv eftersom det är kallt att gå på marmorgolv på vintern. När det gäller köksbänk och golv hade jag kanske egentligen helst velat ha björk då jag är helt såld på björk och har länge varit. Men dels så är det många kvistar i björk och dels så framstår det som lite gult mot det vita. Kanske blir det ek i köket och kanske vitoljad vitask om vi nu ska lägga golv (vilket troligtvis inte blir förrän i höst). Suddenly things are popping up like little mushrooms all over the place. This needs to be fixed, or that or the other and there is just no end to it. We have now decided to completely remake the kitchen and one of the bathrooms to make space for our washingmachine/dryer and a shower. We are also planning on having a wooden deck on the roof terrace (earlier we were planning on having terracotta tiles). We are still swapping to electricity and also putting solar panels to put the lovely sun to use. We have also been looking at a variety of alternatives when it comes to the kitchen work top and also perhaps putting in wooden floors because it is rather cold walking around on marble floors in the winter. When it comes to a kitchen work top and floor I would have preferred birch since I have always liked birch. However, there are many branches in birch and it also looks a bit yellow next to white. So, perhaps we will have oak in the kitchen and perhaps white oiled white ash if we are going to put floors in (which probably won't be realized until this coming fall). Lazy Morning....

Jag tycker mycket om att vakna till solstrålarna som letar sig igenom gardinspringan och sonens glada tillrop "Hej Mamma!". Lång härlig frukost och mycket mys såhär när sonen är ledig från skolan. Så härligt med långhelg! Igår var jag på shoppingrunda, var ju tvungen att ha mig en ny bikini och sonen fick ett par små flipflops. Jag är inte överförtjust i combat men vi hittade inga andra med band runt hälen. En klänning slank med av bara farten också! Undra hur det gick till?? Kanske syns att jag är svag för vitt och mörkblått/rött/rosa, hehe. Sen har jag hittat ett knivställ på Inreda som jag tycker är ganska tufft och jag tror det skulle passa bra i det nya köket. Vad tycks? När Blogkoll var nere senast så insåg jag också att jag inte har alla era fina bloggar förutom just där så jag kommer göra en lista på de fina bloggarna jag gillar att besöka. I love waking up to the small rays of sunshine that manage to sneak through the curtains and my son happily exclaiming "Hi Mommy!". A long tasty breakfast and lots of snuggling since my son is off school. I love long weekends! Yesterday we went shopping, I needed a new bikini and my son needed a pair of flipflops. I'm not too fond of the whole combat thingie but we couldn't find any other that had a slingback. A marine dress kind of just snuck into the shoppingbag too. I wonder how that happened?? I really like white and navy/red/pink. I've also found this funny voodoo set with knives from Inreda that I think will look great in the new kitchen. Do you like it? Last time Blogkoll was down I realized that I don't have all your blog addresses so I am going to make a list of all the lovely blogs I like to visit. If any of you don't want to be on the list please tell me and I will remove the blog asap. Ah, I love when the sky is this lovely shade of light blue! Have a wonderful first of May!
